Police halt penthouse party

August 11, 2013 11:30 pm | Updated June 02, 2016 07:36 am IST - Bangalore:

The city police stopped a party at a penthouse atop the Jewels de Paragon building near Cubbon Park on Saturday night after neighbours complained of disturbance and high-noise levels. The police stormed the penthouse at around 10 p.m.

The police found loud music being played by a disc jockey, and alcohol being served without valid permission. The police initially sent a decoy to the penthouse who observed the premises.

According to the police, those partying in the penthouse claimed it was a private party. However, noise levels were beyond the permissible limit. They said that the person who tipped off the police also raised suspicions that some people were illegally running a club on the premises as loud noise could be heard frequently.
