After the fare revision by Indian Railways became effective on January 22, those passengers who have bought tickets in advance at pre-revised rates have to pay the fare difference at the time of travelling.
A South Western Railway communiqué said that passengers may pay the fare difference at booking/reservation offices or to the ticket checking staff at Bangalore City, Yeshwantpur and Bangalore Cantonment railway stations or Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTEs) on the trains.
