Passenger reservation system inaugurated at Banaswadi

The Bangalore Division of the South Western Railway on Monday commissioned a passenger reservation system (PRS) at Banaswadi Railway Station.

The centre will function between 8 a.m. and noon and between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the station on all working days.

A release said that the facility was the 50th one in Bangalore Division. It was sanctioned under “100 MP PRS Scheme” on the recommendation of P.C. Mohan, Lok Sabha member from Bangalore Central.

Mr. Mohan, Pulikeshinagar MLA K.J. George, Divisional Railway Manager Sudhanshu Mani, BBMP Councillor Rajendran, and Kerala Samajam president C.P. Radhakrishna were present.

Mr. Mani said that many passenger amenities such as provision of digital coach indication boards are in the pipeline at the Banaswadi station.
