Paper leak: sleuths visit treasuries in six taluks

March 29, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - Bengaluru:

Continuing the investigation into the pre-university exam question paper leak, officials of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Monday visited the treasury of the Education Department in six taluks.

The officials questioned the staff and the in-charge to understand the procedure involved in receiving question papers dispatched from the headquarters and securing their safety.

Meanwhile, the cyber crime team of the CID is busy following the trail of WhatsApp messages to track the phone from which the question paper was leaked.

Though the police are getting inputs and tips from across the State, the CID has not obtained any leads so far. They have questioned several officials from the PU department, lecturers and even the owners of tutorials.
