On many social networking sites, parents have posted pictures of school bus drivers using mobile phone while driving, violating one-way norm, and ferrying more passengers than the stipulated capacity. According to M.A. Saleem, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), they are taking action against such drivers. He said that they had till date this year booked as many as 5,545 cases against drivers of vehicles ferrying children. He said that a majority of the cases were booked for carrying excess students and for not having an attendant in the vehicle.
