Orientation camp held for teachers

Bengaluru-based Centre for Science and Development, Karnataka Knowledge and Technology Council in association with Karnataka Jnana Vijnana Samiti (KJVS) and Department of Public Instructions conducted an orientation camp for mathematics teachers at the premises of Government Pre-University College for Girls here recently.

Addressing the workshop, KJVS secretary, E. Basavaraju said making teachers update with the recent developments was the main objective of such programmes. “Making mathematics easier to students with simple methods of teaching was possible”, he said.

Bengaluru’s NMKRV College lecturer, N.S. Shashidhar and others participated as resource persons.

The participants were also given training on the comprehensive continuous evaluation (CCE) system.
