One killed, six injured in wall collapse in Bangalore; Rescue operations continuing

A 4-year- old-girl Jaya was killed and at least six other residents were injured when the compound wall of an under construction ISKCON temple, collapsed on Kanakapura road on Monday afternoon, police said.

Subhramanyapura police and fire officials rushed to the spot and rescued six persons trapped under the debris. Two others are still feared to be trapped.

The officials struggled to pull out a girl child who was trapped in the debris. The girl who was in shock was made to drink water even as her lower part of the body was still trapped in the debris. Meanwhile, the injured have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Rescue operations are still going on.
