One killed in accident

A 27-year-old man riding pillion was killed and the rider of the motorcycle injured when they slipped from the bike in front of Yeshwantpur metro station, in the early hours of Friday. The deceased has been identified as Raju (27), a cook. He was returning home with his friend Abhishek (19) after work.

Raju sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Sparsh hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The Yeshwantpur police have taken up cases of death due to negligence, and of rash and negligent driving, against Abhishek.
