One person has been arrested on the charge of sending an e-mail threatening to blast the Vidhana Soudha, the State secretariat, police said on Monday.
The arrested identified as Prasanna, a resident of Ganganagar in the city, was taken into custody on Sunday and the computer used for sending the e-mail to the Police Commissioner on July 22, seized.
During interrogation, he told Police he was working for World Visions, an NGO, for the past five years, police said.
He alleged that he had provided financial assistance from the NGO to another person Jayasheelan who was also working for an NGO, to undertake some rural development works, which Jayasheelan “misused“.
When questioned Jayasheelan started a ‘mispropaganda’ against Prasanna. In order to teach him a lesson, he decided to sent an e-mail in Jayasheelan’s name to the police commissioner, threatening to blast Vidhana Soudha, Prasanna told police, sources added.
