According to the SEIAA, an apartment complex – with 136 villas and 734 apartments – being constructed beside the Kaikondanahalli lake on Sarjapur Road and another close to Varthur Lake – on 102 acres with 3,426 apartments and 271 villas – have been told to stop work.

“We have taken up a case in the city civil court. Though these two companies have submitted an application for clearance with the SEIAA, they have started construction before the clearance was accorded…the built-up areas of these complexes is huge,” said Ramachandra, member-secretary, SEIAA.
