There seems to be no breakthrough yet in the probe of the Kogilu Cross shootout case which saw two persons being shot at by unidentified men.

On February 8, Dasanapura AMPC president Kadabagere Srinivas and his driver were attacked in broad daylight by two bike-borne men who shot at him and his driver. The police since then have questioned as many as 80 suspects, including the two arms dealers from Hindalga prison and analysed 50,000 call records and the CCTv footage, but still have been unable to identify the attacker.

Meanwhile, the Bagaluru police also questioned Yelahanka MLA S.R. Vishawanath a few days ago as Srinivas had accused his political rival for the attack. The police questioned Vishawanath for few hours and later asked him to appear before the police whenever summoned.

However, Vishwanath told The Hindu that the police has called him to make some enquiries and that he has not been officially questioned. “They told me that they would inform me to appear before them for questioning, which I have agreed to. But, I have not been questioned officially in this case,” he clarified.
