Newborn found dead

The body of a newborn boy was found at Seethapathi Circle in Chamarajpet police station limits here on Monday.

The body, thrown into a garbage dump, was spotted by morning walkers who called the police.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the baby was just a day old.

The boy’s legs and hands were wrapped with bandage. The police have shifted the body to Victoria Hospital mortuary.

The Chamarajpet police have registered a case.
