Netaji inspires children

Close to 500 students gathered on the streets of Malleswaram to commemorate the 116th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. A procession was jointly organised by All India Democratic Students' Organization (AIDSO), All India Mahila Sanskritik Sanghathan (AIMSS) and All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO).

A press release quoted State Secretary of AIDYO S. Kumar as saying, “We have a long way to go in fulfilling the historic, unaccomplished mission of Netaji — of building a new India; an India where education and health shall cease to be a commodity, where poverty, unemployment and corruption would be unknown. To realise such a society we should strive tirelessly.”

The meeting ended with students taking an oath to emulate Netaji’s ideals.
