There is a need to create exclusive cycle spaces in the city as the roads are not friendly for cyclists, said Prabhakar Rao, founder of Go-Green.

He was speaking after an eco-friendly ride that was organised by the Transport Department in association with TI Cycles India here on Sunday.

Mr. Rao said that there was a need for the government to take up initiatives for the benefit of cyclists. He added that motorists and car drivers take up all the space on the road which made it difficult for cyclists.

A 10- kilometre anti-pollution ride was organised from Kanteerava Stadium to Ulsoor Lake as part of the Transport Department’s initiative to reduce pollution.
