The Congress government on Thursday said it would file a complaint with the State Election Commission (SEC) against the NDA government at the Centre for allegedly publishing advertisements in newspapers in violation of the model code of conduct which is in force for the two-phase gram panchayat elections.

The model code of conduct is effective from May 10 to June 7.

Social Welfare Minister H. Anjaneya told presspersons here, “We are lodging a complaint against the Narendra Modi government for violating the code of conduct by publishing government ads in newspapers.”
