Mysoreans heaved a sigh of relief as the incessant drizzle on Wednesday provided the much-needed respite from the searing heat that prevailed in the region for over a month.
The cloudy weather is expected to prevail for a couple of days more, shoring up hopes of pleasant weather. The drizzle commenced around 2 a.m. People were surprised when they woke up to a cool and pleasant morning which prevailed till around 11 a.m. Though there was no further drizzle, cloudy conditions helped keep the temperature down through the day.
The temperature came down to around 30 degrees Celsius on Wednesday
For the record, the mean maximum temperature in Mysore for the month of March is 33.5 degree Celsius and the mean maximum temperature for April is 34 degrees Celsius. The highest ever recorded temperature in April was 39.4 degrees Celsius on April 4, 1917.
