Siddaramaiah, who will complete two months in office soon, said: “The Chief Minister’s seat is neither hot nor cool. It is all about ensuring an effective administration and tackling the issues confronting the State and the people. I am confident of doing well.”
On the proposal to constitute a coordination panel comprising partymen and Ministers to oversee the administration of the State, Mr. Siddaramaiah said: “It is for the party high command to decide on such matters. It is also for them to decide on whether a Deputy Chief Minister should be appointed or not.”
Mr. Siddaramaiah said there will be a special focus on improving the infrastructure in Bangalore, providing adequate security to the people and taking care of the law and order situation. Two posts of Joint Commissioner of Police have recently been approved for Bangalore, he said.
