‘More transactions in all ATMs not feasible’

Providing customers the flexibility of carrying out five free transactions in a month in ATM kiosks other than their primary bank is not feasible, bankers say. If a customer is allowed to draw cash from any bank’s kiosk irrespective of the number of transactions a month, then banks will be hard pressed each day to load the machine with cash, an official said, adding that many banks may also not make investments for ATM expansion expecting others to invest.
