A 10-year-old girl who went missing after leaving her house in Magadi on Wednesday was allegedly murdered. Her body was found in an isolated spot off Hosahalli Main Road on Friday. Her grief-stricken parents and relatives have alleged that the girl had been killed as part of a black magic ritual.

The police, too, suspect that the girl was killed as part of a ritual.

Ramesh Bannoth, Superintendent of Police, Ramanagara district, said, “We have found lemons and crushed eggs at the crime scene. Her hair was cut, and there are signs that a puja was performed near the body. We suspect that she might have been sacrificed in a black magic ritual in pursuit of hidden treasure.”

A source in the police claimed that the body had been mutilated.
