A 17-year-old girl went missing on Monday evening from Chikkagollarahatti in Nelamangala in Bangalore Rural limits.

The first-year Pre-University student was said to be accompanied by a 25-year-old man, Ravi.

Police said that the two are relatives and neighbours in Chikkagollarahatti.

The girl’s parents alleged that she was forcibly taken by Ravi, a water-tanker helper, in Nelamangala.

Based on the family’s allegations, the Nelamangala police have registered a case of kidnap under section 363(a) IPC.
