Metro bogie gutted after truck carrying it touches electric wire; two injured

A truck carrying Metro bogie was gutted when the top portion of the truck touched an electric wire at Konappana Agrahara junction in the early hours of Sunday.

The driver managed to escape with minor injuries. However, a Ola cab driver, who was behind the truck, sustained injuries when his cab came in contact with the wire that got snapped.

The injured cab driver was rushed to a near-by hospital before the passers-by alerted the fire and emergency service personnel who rushed to the spot and put out the fire.

The truck was carrying the bogie to Delhi and was taking a U-turn to enter NICE Road when the mishap occurred. The Electronic City police have taken up a case and are investigating.
