Mayor promises equitable funds distribution for wards

There will be no discrimination in the allocation of funds for various wards, Mayor S.K. Nataraj said here on Thursday.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Contact Point and ward office at Nagapura, coming under the Mahalakshmipuram Assembly Constituency here,

Mr. Nataraj said all the 198 wards will receive the same amount of funds in the BBMP budget to be presented on August 30. D.B. Chandre Gowda, MP, said that the civic authority has its work cut out to ensure the city's all-round development.

Cheques were given to two dengue patients, Shubha S. and Yamini N., at the function.
