In an effort to improve and maintain civic amenities under the ‘Namma Bangalore - Namma Koduge’ program, Mayor B.S. Satyanarayana on Thursday urged Electronics City Industries Association (ELCIA) to partner with Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

“BBMP is looking forward to partnering with private firms and industries who can help the city by taking up the maintenance of parks, playgrounds, schools, lakes and other civic infrastructure,” he told ELCIA members.

BBMP would enter into a memorandum of understanding with those willing to take up the offer, a civic official said.

Over 40 representatives of ELCIA members took part in the interaction. N S Rama, Chief Executive Officer, ELCIA, said that they would be happy to contribute and take up the maintenance of crucial civic amenities in their areas. She added that the Association would discuss the issue with all stake holders before reverting to the BBMP with firm proposals.
