Even as the school in Marathahalli, where a six-year-old was raped, is all set to open on Monday, a section of the parents want a change in the management before they send their children back to school. They also want to appeal for fast track justice for the victim.
One of the parents said, “We want a change as this management covered up the incident and has not apologised till date.” She added that merely setting up infrastructure such as CCTV cameras and increasing manpower will not serve the purpose.
Another group of parents had met the management on Thursday. The management had agreed to their 11-point demand, which was followed by an announcement of the school re-opening.
A parent, who did not agree with the core committee parent representatives, said, “Not a single point was mentioned about justice for the child.”
Some parents plan to stage a protest outside the school on Saturday.
Meanwhile, some teachers were again summoned to Varthur police station on Friday to record their statements about the incident. They had earlier been summoned on Wednesday.
