Though almost a month into the mango season, the prices of the fruit are still high and are yet to come down and turn affordable.

While a kilo of Raspuri mangoes is still trading at Rs. 60 in the retail market, a kilo of Malgova mangoes is still as high as Rs. 90. While retail chains complain of a slight dip in the supply, Hopcoms officials beg to differ.

Hopcoms officials said that the supply and arrivals this year was far better than the previous, the official added that the market was likely to be glutted with mangoes in the coming weeks bringing down the prices.
