Man rescued from storm water drain

A 40-year-old man was rescued from a 10 feet deep stormwater drain, near Magadi Road, by the Fire and Emergency Service personnel on Saturday.

According to the local people, Ganesh Pandey from Uttar Pradesh had arrived in the city a few days ago in search of a job.

Incident

On Saturday afternoon, passersby heard him crying out for help from the drain near Magadi Road. Immediately, the people alerted the fire control room.

Later, Mr. Pandey was provided treatment for bruises and injuries.

The police believe that Mr. Pandey was mentally ill and needed help.
