A 35-year-old labourer murdered his wife and two minor children before hanging himself at his house in Maligondanahalli in the outskirt of the city on Monday.
The deceased, Satish, was found hanging, while his wife Manjula (25), son (5) and daughter (2), were found dead with strangulation marks.
The incident came to light when neighbours, who heard heated arguments among the couple on Wednesday night, went to check on Thursday morning when there was eerie silence in the house.
The Kumbalagodu police based on the information rushed to the spot and send the bodies for post-mortem.
Neighbours told the police that Satish used to come home drunk and fight with his wife. The police is investigating further to ascertain the reason for the murder.
