Man killed in accident at Uttarahalli

A 20-year-old man was killed when the two-wheeler he was riding collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction at Uttarahalli on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Tejeswi Gowda, a resident of Banashankari who worked as a courier delivery person. He was heading towards Kengeri to visit his relatives, when he collided with a truck coming towards Kanakapura. He died on the spot.

The police arrested truck driver Sudhakar and seized the truck for further investigation. According to the police, the road is closed for heavy vehicle movement between 7 p.m. to 11 a.m. However the truck driver, who wanted to pass through the road before this, allegedly drove in rash and negligent manner, which led to the accident.
