A 21-year-old man was hacked to death after a fight broke out during Ganesh Chathurti celebrations at Hanumanthnagar on Sunday night.

Around 7.30 p.m., a group of seven men stabbed Ganesh, who works as a driver, at Avalahalli Main Road. He was shifted to a private hospital where he died hours later, said the Hanumanthnagar police.

The genesis of the violent fight was at a celebration of Ganesh Chathurti in the area. According to the police, Ganesh got into an argument with Pritvi and a minor scuffle broke out there. However, angered by this, Pritvi and his friends later confronted Ganesh and slashed him across his torso and limbs.
