The body of a man, who bled to his death after he fell from the roof of his house, was found in Chowdeshwari Nagar near Laggere here on Tuesday morning.

S.N. Sriramappa (30), who works as a computer repairman, had evidently fallen to his death on Monday night after he was inebriated, said the Rajagopalnagar Police. The body was discovered by morning walkers around 6 a.m. The police said Sriramappa, a bachelor who was living alone, was probably drunk at the time of the accident. Though the height of the fall wasn't enough to kill a man, he must have been knocked unconscious after the fall and subsequently bled to his death, said the police.

“The area is under-developed and not many people walk by at that time of the night. Only two other people stayed in the house — an auto driver, and a television cameraman — both of who, due to their erratic timings, were out of the house at the time,” said the official.

Sriramappa, originally from Hospet taluk, had migrated to the city around three years ago, the police added.
