An unidentified man robbed a part of a gold chain from an elderly woman in Nagababhavi on Tuesday.
The victim, Asha, a resident of Annapoorneshwari Nagar was returning home with her husband after visiting her son’s house.
While Asha was opening the gate of the house and her husband Chandrashekhar was parking the car at around 9.30 p.m., a man approached her on the pretext of inquiring an address and tried to snatch her chain.
Asha managed to hold her chain back but the man managed to flee with part of the gold chain weighing 30 grams. The Jnanabharati Nagar police have taken up a case and are investigating.
