The Peenya police have arrested a 24-year-old man, who allegedly barged into the house of a home alone woman and molested her on Tuesday night.

The accused Krishnachand, a native of Assam and residing in Tigalarapalya in Peenya, was working in a factory and used to stalk a 20-year-old woman from Odisha, who lived alone. The woman had come to the city two months ago in search of a job. On Tuesday night, he followed her, barged into her house and tried to molest her, police said and added that the accused escaped after the victim raised alarm.
