The Bangarpet police have arrested a man from Odisha, accused in the murder of a woman. The police gave his name as Rahul, second accused in the murder of Malleshwari (33), a Kuppam-based construction worker. Shekhar from Tamil Nadu, the prime accused in the case, is still absconding.
Both the accused allegedly killed Malleshwari about a week ago and threw the body in Palavathimmanahalli Layout in Bangarpet a week ago. Rahul and Malleshwari were working with Shekhar. Rahul has been remanded in judicial custody.
