A fast track court on Tuesday posted the hearing on the anticipatory bail plea by PDP leader Abdul Naseer Madani, one of the accused in the 2008 Bangalore blast case to June 29.
The prosecution opposed the bail plea, stating it could hinder investigation.
Mr. Madani has been chargesheeted along with 31 others for his alleged involvement in the blasts here on July 25, 2008, in various parts of the city that left a woman dead and 20 injured.
He was among the six persons named in the additional chargesheet filed by the Bangalore Police on June 11. Police had earlier chargesheeted 26 people.
Bangalore police have maintained that it has enough evidence to name Mr. Madani as an accused in the case. Twelve of the 32 people chargesheeted are absconding.
A local court had last week issued non-bailable warrants against Mr. Madani and asked him to be produced on or before June 23.
Mr. Madani had spent nine years in prison before he was let off in connection with the Coimbatore blast case.
