A luxury car belonging to a relative of a liquor baron was seized by Jayanagar traffic police after the vehicle collided with another car near South End Circle in the early hours on Thursday. The police also found 300 grams of marijuana in the vehicle.

The car belonged to the accused Vishnu, grandson of liquor baron D.K. Adikesavulu Naidu. He, along with three friends, was heading towards Banashankari from a pub in city. The police claim that the car was being driven in a rash and negligent manner.

They caught the accused and his friends and allegedly thrashed them. However, the accused managed to escape from the spot before the police could arrive. Police sources said the three occupants of the other car that toppled have sustained minor injuries.

The Jayanagar traffic police, who have taken up a case, seized the car. They found 300 grams of marijuana in the vehicle. The traffic police have sought the help of Jayanagar law and order police to take up the case and investigate.
