Dance bar raided, 50 women rescued

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials raided a dance bar and restuarant on Residency Road and rescued over 50 women performing there.

Based on a tip, off a team of officials raided and sealed the bar on Saturday night.

CCB officials said the owner of the bar Ganga Shetty managed to escape. They also said that the accused, who employed the girls to serve food, was also forcing them to serve liquor and dance for customers. Customers would shower money on them, they added.

The police have seized over Rs. 50,000 cash that was lying on the ground at the bar. A case has been registered.
