A rally to condemn the assault on All India Students’ Federation and All India Youth Federation leaders dared the ABVP (Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad) to fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders who are facing charges of corruption, illegal mining, and watching porn clips in the Legislative Assembly and who are facing charges of rape.

In a resolution adopted at the rally, the organisations demanded invoking the Goondas Act and registering murder cases against the ABVP workers who carried out the assault.

CPI National Council member Siddanagouda Patil who read the resolution said that New Extension Police station in Tumakuru city had wrongly registered a sedition case against the two functionaries who were assaulted by ABVP workers. Hundreds of members of the Communist Party of India participated in the rally which demanded the withdrawal of the sedition case.

Journalist Gowri Lankesh ‘thanked’ the RSS for bringing all Left organisations together on one platform by calling them anti-nationals.

CPI leaders Anant Subbarao, G.Ramakrishna, Siddanagouda Patil, and Jyothi, Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader G.N.Nagaraj and others were present.
