There may be some respite for students of Bangalore University as their lecturers have decided to defer their decision to boycott classes from Monday. On Friday, Bangalore University Teachers Council (BUTC), SC/ST Teachers’ Association and Non-teaching Staff Association threatened to boycott classes from Monday until Vice-Chancellor N. Prabhu Dev resigns and takes up the offer of being appointed Chairperson of the Karnataka System Health Commission. Now, a decision will be taken after the executive council meeting on Monday. “We will inform our decision after the meeting. We met the Chief Minister on Friday, who has asked us to wait for a couple of days,” said BUTC.
