Leads suggest personal reasons: K.J. George

March 19, 2015 12:31 pm | Updated 12:31 pm IST - Bengaluru:

Home Minister K.J. George on Tuesday said that the special team probing the death had informed him that they had leads to suggest that the official took the extreme step owing to personal reasons.

Meanwhile, the probe has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) though this transfer is yet to be formalised.

City police sources said they had completed the initial formalities of the investigation after the body was found in the flat in Chikka Adugodi on Monday night. The mahajar of the body was conducted in the presence of Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi and the entire procedure was videographed.

The police have recovered three high-end mobile phones and an iPad from the bedroom where the body was found. All the four electronic devices have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory, Madiwala, for examination.

Police have taken charge of both his flat in Prestige St John’s Wood Apartment and his office in Koramangala. Both premises have been sealed and guarded by the police.
