A 30-year-old labourer was hammered to death during a drunken brawl in Varthur on Monday. He has been identified as Sabiyan Dong, a native of Jharkhand.
Three persons attacked him with a hammer and escaped, leaving him profusely bleeding. Passers-by rushed him to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him as brought dead.
The Varthur police have taken up a murder case and efforts are on to nab the trio.
