A 30-year-old construction labourer was clubbed to death allegedly by his friend in a drunken brawl at Marasandra village in Bangalore Rural police station limits on Saturday.

The incident came to light when passers-by noticed the body of Ramajani and informed the police.

The police rushed to the spot and conducted enquiries to find that the deceased was last seen with his friend Nataraja, a driver.

Nataraja has gone missing since Saturday night, the police said.

The police suspected that the two consumed alcohol and had had a fight following which Ramajani was killed, the police said.

The police have taken up a case of murder against Nataraj. A search is on.
