A 20-year-old youth was brutally attacked by a gang of armed men who chopped his tongue and private part while he went out of the house to relieve himself in Whitefield on Thursday night.

The injured Biju Nayak of Odisha has been working as labourers living in Immadihalli.

His neighbours, who found him in a pool of blood, rushed him to a private hospital where he is being treated.

The police are struggling to ascertain the reason for the brutal attack as the victim is exhausted and narrating in sign language which police are finding hard to understand.

The Whitefield police are questioning the relatives and friends.

Police suspect rivalry could be the motive behind the attack.
