KSRTC bus runs over pedestrian

An unidentified pedestrian, aged about 35, was killed on the spot after a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus ran him over near Richmond Circle bus-stop on Sunday.

The accident took place around 5.45 p.m. The bus was coming from Chintamani to Majestic area. The driver, Gangaraj, lost control of the bus just as the pedestrian was attempting to cross the road.

After the accident, the bus driver and conductor fled from the scene.

Ashoknagar police shifted the body to Bowring Hospital and seized the bus. Gangaraj later surrendered to the police.
