KSPCB chairman visits plastic manufacturers

The Chairman of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board Lakshman, accompanied by officials, on Thursday, visited five plastic manufacturing units in Kamakshipalya, Peenya, and surrounding areas, to verify the compliance to the plastic ban.

A KSPCB release said that he found that none of the units were manufacturing plastic carry bags. However, some were engaged in manufacture of covers used for packing of materials. The chairman directed the officers to take action against those units that were not complying with the ban.
