The Kolar district unit of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) took out a procession in town on Friday demanding implementation of Sarojini Mahishi report on reservation for Kannadigas in jobs in the State.

The procession culminated at Deputy Commissioner’s office where the members submitted a memorandum of their demands to the authorities concerned.

Though with the infrastructure and incentives provided by the state government, many industries were coming up, Kannadigas were not getting sufficient jobs. The government should, therefore, take the initiative to implement the Sarojini Mahishi report, the vedike’s members demanded. They also urged the government to ensure that Kannada is used compulsorily in all industries in the state.
