A special court here on Wednesday adjourned the trial in the disproportionate assets case against AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa to June 14.

When the case came up for hearing before Judge B. M. Mallikarjunaiah, counsel for Jayalalithaa sought over 10 days time saying certified copies of the documents were still not ready.

Special Public Prosecutor B. V. Acharya argued that all requisite documents had been given and the reason cited was “just a pretext to seek adjournment.”

The Judge adjourned hearing to June 14.
