Jacket stolen at security check in KIAL

A jacket belonging to a city-based engineer has been stolen at the security check point of at Kempegowda International Airport on Sunday. After waiting for two days, Mahadeshwara S.H., 35, filed a complaint with the airport police.

In his complaint, Mr. Mahadeshwar said he had gone to Dubai on an assignment and returned to the city on Sunday. On arrival, he stopped at the security check near the immigration counter inside KIAL. He removed the jacket and kept it on the table before undergoing the check. He returned a few seconds later to find it missing.

Security personnel said they would get back to him in two days, but did not respond. He filed a complaint with the airport police seeking help. “The area is a high security zone and there were CCTV cameras besides CISF security personnel deputed at every nook and corner. Amidst such security, a jacket has gone missing. This is a matter of concern,” a police officer said.
