It was double celebrations, literally, in the house of Abhighna. G. and Anughna. G. The twin sisters, both students of VVS Sardar Patel English High School, Bangalore, had one of the top scores in the SSLC examinations, the results of which were announced on Monday.

The sisters, who are born 14 minutes apart, were separated by a narrow margin of one mark. Abhighna emerged as the second highest scorer in the State with 621 out of 625 while Anughna with a score of 620 stood third.

Both had the same scores in the languages. They scored 125 out of 125 in Sanskrit- their first language and scored 98 and 99 (out of 100) in second language English and third language Kannada respectively. While Abhighna scored a centum in Science, Anughna scored a centum in Mathematics. The girls brushed aside any competition between them and said they often studied together.

Both wish to enrol themselves in the Sardar Patel PU College and pursue science .
