Iraqi youth dies in road accident in Bangalore

A 19-year-old Iraqi national, who was on his way to Nandi Hills, was killed after he lost control over his motorcycle and hit his friend’s motorcycle.

The accident occurred near Devanahalli Junction in the early hours of Monday.

The dead was identified as Mustafa Hashim, a first year degree student of East Point College, Bidarahalli.

A group of seven persons (all students of East Point College) on four motorcycles were on their way to Nandi Hills. Hashim, who was riding behind Hamza, lost control after going over a speed-breaker and crashed into Hamza’s motorcycle, the police said.

Hashim who was not wearing a helmet died on the spot.

The police shifted the body to MS Ramaiah hospital for post-mortem. Hamza and the pillion rider, a Chinese national, suffered minor injuries. The Devanahalli Airport Police have registered a case.
