Interior decorator knocked down by car

A 45-year-old interior decorator was killed after a speeding cab knocked him down near New Public School on Govindarajnagar on Monday. He has been identified as Rajendra Suryavanshi, a resident of Kamakshipalya. He was returning home when the speeding car collided with him. Due to the impact Rajendra was thrown up in the air. He fell to the ground sustaining severe head injuries. Passers-by rushed him to Victoria Hospital where he succumbed. Sensing trouble the driver of the car fled the scene, leaving behind the car.

The Vijayanagar police have seized the car and are looking for the driver.
